Essential item for any biker pro or just for fun
Quite possibly the best invention ever. No more lost helmet for me, dragging it around in my hand, forgetting where I out it. The quality of this rucksack equates to the price tag, sturdy, comfortable fit especially the chest and waist straps and it actually looks great and stylish as rucksacks go. The attachment for a secondary helmet is possibly the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I cannot rate this bag any higher as it really is worth the money, this would be a fantastic gift for any biker young or old and they will be eternally greatful.
Reasonably priced
A reasonable price compared with the Givi equivalent. Appears robust but only time will tell. One brief ride out in the rain without the detachable cover proved that water soon soaks through to the inside.
Looks durable but heavy.
The backpack is padded, so feels comfortable when worn. Two buckles – one small one that wraps around the chest and one larger one that seals around the waist.
Within the main compartment the backpack features an interior pocket that can house a laptop up to 15inches. Smaller is good too – including smaller laptops and iPads. This compartment is padded, so should offer some sort of protection in the event that you/they suffer any impact.
The main compartment, which is expandable – from 28l to 35l, can easily and additional to the laptop, fit a change of clothing and a pair of shoes, so is great for that commute to work and back. Also let’s not forget our gloves. These will also fit here, or into the separate pocket located on the outer part of the backpack.
There is small pocket at the top of the bag that opens to reveal a removable waterproof rain cover for the backpack. There is another pocket – outer and bottom that houses attached but adjustable netting, for securing your helmet to the outside and back of the backpack. FYI – When storing your helmet this way, neither the small top pocket nor the netting pocket close. If this method for storing your helmet is not preferred, as is my preference, you can either store it inside the backpack or hang it on the side of the bag using the helmet strap which seals with a hook.
Finally, the backpack has reflective side, front and back strips to keep you visible at night and all pockets open and close via zip.
There’s a few of things that I didn’t like, that are worth mentioning …..
– There are no side pockets. I like side pockets as they are useful for transporting water bottles
– I would like a tad more padding within the internal pockets, just for that added security, particularly something padded to store my phone within
– The top strap could feel a tad more secure. It’s quite basic as a buckle
– When using the helmet netting, it means two pockets remain open and are therefore unusable otherwise. Also, it is nigh on impossible to access the main compartment.
– When fully loaded, the backpack pulls down at the back and up from the front, so much so that I have had to lower the upper front buckle. The weight distribution / functionality is not quite there and I think it’s because the lower buckle buckles low down and around the waist whilst the higher buckle is a tad feeble
– Finally, it is water resistant, and not waterproof although, as mentioned earlier, included is a separate heavy rain waterproof cover (that I have not had the opportunity to trial).
The weight distribution and waterproofing are 2 important factors to me when I’m riding my motorbike and is the reason why, ideally, I would like to give this backpack a 9 out of 10 and not a full 5 star, but that’s not an option here, and it is not quite deserving of having one whole star knocked off.
The backpack is excellent but requires the addition of a couple of detail to make it complete.I received this item from the Amazon Vine Program.
This motorbike helmet bag is made from oxford 600D polyester. It is a heavyweight polyester fabric which is durable, elastic and waterproof. That being said the bag is already water resistant but is also has a waterproof rain cover that can be used as an added protection just in case it rains. The zippers are also waterproof.
The bag can be expanded so it can fit more items inside such as extra clothes, jacket or whatnot. Due to it’s big capacity it is not just limited as a motobike bag but can be used just like any other outdoor bag.
The bag has adjustable straps for the chest and the waist. It has a lot space and compartments. It also has a space for a 15 inch laptop which is handy when my husband needs to bring his laptop with him to work as he is the one using this bag. He said the bag is a bit heavy to carry. Probaby because of the material used. So even if the bag can fit a lot of items it will be heavier to carry because the bag itself already has weight on it.
This motorbike bag mostly fit the open face or half face helmets but is small for an off road helmet. It can fit in the helmet holder strap but the strap has to be stretched.
Overall the bag looks good and durable but is a bit heavy.
Safe and practical motorbike backpack
Very practical motorbike backpack. They thought about nearly all needs during riding on motorbike. Love there is reinforcing on front and back, extra padding on straps and reinforcing main handle so you don’t have to worry it will brake. Very capable inside, even with carrying second helmet, you can still put lots of stuff inside. Great organised interior, good management of pockets and of course so clever USB and jack port. Just brilliant. Awesome looking on bike without compromising safety. 2 belts to keep backpack safe and without wobbling on sides. Love the product. Seems really well made, very solid.
Ticks every box and more
This really is a very handy rucksack, aimed primarily at people on two wheels. With motorcycles becoming more compact and sleek in design, there really is little provision for a top box nowadays, which are just not fashionable anymore.
So, one needs a functional backpack and this model from OG Online&Co is pretty ideal for carrying your essentials — especially a helmet. In fact, you have three options for your helmet. You can put it inside the bag after opening up the expandable zip, you can simply hang it on the side with a clip provided, or you can use the webbing and clips found in the bottom front pocket to secure it on the outside of the front. Really well thought out.
On the inside, you will find a compartment for your laptop, up to a size of 15”, as well as pockets and zips to put your mobile phone and other essentials etc. There is another zip pocket on the front, which is quite sizable.
The rucksack appears really well made and is completed with a molded, padded back support which is both firm and very comfortable to wear. The zips are large and feel robust.
The bag has straps both across the chest and waist, so it feels very secure when on. And there is even a small pouch with a waterproof cover in it, for giving extra protection in bad weather. There are also reflective strips on the bag for enhanced safety.
The novel thing is that this bag does not look like a motorcycle rucksack. So it could be used for all manner of purposes, such as cycling, hiking, or even for school or college. Of course, only time will tell if the bag endures everyday use, but right now it appears very neat and extremely practical. A really good buy.
Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.
